Huawei G525 Quad-Core Smart Phone Review

865303Like Huawei G520, Huawei G525 also adopts the design of monoblock bar screen and is collocated with 4.5-inch large touch screen. Its screen resolution is elevated to qHD degree(540×960 pixel). Likewise, other collocations have been optimized as well to great extent, but the price is still 228 bucks.

Then the introduction to Huawei G525 shall be presented, which is bound to be of some help.

Huawei G525 adopts the mainstream monoblock touch screen, which is quite alike to that of G520. What’s worth mentioning is that it has three colors such as blue, white, and yellow, which can satisfy the various needs to some extent.

In the frontage, Huawei G525 is collocated with a 4.5-inch IPS large touch screen and the resolution reaches the qHD degree(540×960 pixel). Though the effect may be not that good as the HD- degree high-end product, the price is quite satisfactory. In the meantime, as the IPS screen is adopted, the color effect is rather florid.

On the low side of the screen, three common Android keys are designed, namely the return key, Home key and menu key from the left to the right. While on the left upper side a 30W pixel display front-facing camera is equipped, it can satisfy the need for taking pictures or video chatting.

The design of its back side is quite concise. As the edging between the back side and the lateral side is slippery, the phone can fit the palm quite well. Moreover, it won’t be easily contaminated with fingerprints.

Besides the front-facing camera, a rear camera is still installed on the back core of Huawei G525 and next to camera is the loudspeaker outlet.

Moreover, Huawei G525 also supports dts( Digital Theatre System), ensuring the external playing effect.
The size is 134×66.8×9.9mm, which is slightly large. As to the keys and interfaces, like G520, Huawei G525 also is quite peculiar. The power key and the integral volume key are collocated on the left upper part.

865310                                           (the power key and volume key)

865535                                                 (the MicroUSB interface)
On the left low place is equipped with the mainstream MicroUSB data interface. No key or interface is designed on the right side and the bottom part. The 3.5mm earphone interface is on the top place, which is convenient for being collocated with other mainstream earphones.

What’s worth mentioning is that on the right low corner the opening groove of the back core is designed, which provides convenience for detachment of the back core.
In the aspect of the system, Huawei G525 is collocated with the popular Android 4.1OS, meanwhile, Huawei Emotion UI(user’s interface), which is the 1.0 version. The interface style is quite different from the original Android 4.1.

(the locking interface and the main interface)
The Cuyun theme still adopts the unlocking via sliding. However, unlike other common Huawei phones, it adopts the single unlocking means, and the unlocking icons such as phone calls, SMS or picture-taking are not added.

                              (the interface of theme setting)
Meanwhile, lots of red element and background are applied. The user interface is still the familiar Huawei Emotion UI, including the iconic “Me Widget” window widget like Huawei Ascend D2 and Mate.

                        (the all-in-one desktop interface)
Besides, Huawei G525 adopts the all-in-one desktop and integrate the previous desktops and applications list interfaces, therefore, the users can check the needed relevant applications via sliding on the desktop, which is quite easy and applicable.
With regards to the inner collocations, Huawei G520 is collocated with MT6589 quad-core processor and 512MB RAM while Huawei G525 is equipped with Qualcomm MSM8225Q quad-core processor. Both are of the 1.2GHz main frequency, but the RAM of the latter is elevated to 1GB. As to the comprehensive property, we shall turn to the professional test.

(the score of G525 on the left and G520 on the right in Antutu v3.0)

In the test of Antutu test(v3.0), the tested benchmark score is 10945, which is inferior to that of Huawei G520. Providing the Antutu v3.3 version is used, it can also get more than 10000 points at ease, which turns out to be 10875, and that’s the normal level of the quad-core phones selling at nearly 163 bucks.

(the score of G525 in Antutu v3.3)
Nevertheless, the benchmark score is referential to some extent. Judging from the actual operation experience, the comprehensive is quite smooth and fluent. For instance, the 3D phone game such as Temple Run can be processed quite well and the 720p HD video can be played in normal as well.

Besides, the mainstream applications such as phone QQ, Sina microblog, micro message, UC browser, Daidu map and Sohu news can completely satisfy the daily need.
As is said before, Huawei G525 is collocated with dual cameras(30W pixel front-facing camera and 500W pixel rear camera), and the auto focus is supported, which is in the low level. The shooting setting options are rather various and the automatic scene shooting, panorama shooting as well as composition of auxiliary lines are all supported.

As to the concrete imaging effect, we can see the sample pictures.

865236                                                        (sample picture)

865234                                           (the magnified sample picture)
Even though the pictures are magnified by 100%, the noise of the sample picture is not obvious and the hue is quite bright.

865243                                                  (the sample picture)

865244                                            (the sample picture taken at night)
In the condition of enough light, the hue is bright, the color is saturated and the previous color can be well reflected. On the whole, Huawei G525 is of high quality and low price.
Huawei G525 is collocated with two standard SIM card slot and support WCDMA+GSM dual-card standby. However, what needs attention is that the NO1 slot can only support WCDMA and GSM SIM card while NO2 slot supports GSM SIM card.

865313                 (dual-card standby and MicroSD expansion are supported.)
In terms of endurance, Huawei G525 is collocated with a 1700mAh battery (detachable) as G520 does.

865302                                  (1700mAh battery is collocated.)
As a quad-core phone selling at about 163 bucks, Huawei G525 still inherits the excellent quality and low price and the comprehensive collocations have been developed in much degree, especially the resolution and the RAM, moreover, the new fashionable Huawei Cuyun theme makes it more outstanding and individualized.
